History
Westwoods Electrical and Property Services was first formed in 1989 by Owner and Director, Craig Westwood. Craig had a vast range of experience in the electrical industry, and intended to establish a company that could facilitate clients with high-quality electrical work and repairs. Operating out of Blackburn North, Westwoods quickly began to service numerous clients across Melbourne.
Westwoods’ first customer was looking to install a large computer-based time clock system for insurance companies and government departments for time recording. This required entry to many of the large commercial buildings in the area, which meant exposure to many building managers. Before long, Westwoods had a constant stream of commercial jobs from various corporations.
The knowledge and professionalism displayed by the company was the key factor that made Westwoods the obvious choice for a wide range of electrical projects. It’s these long-held, high standards that have ensured Westwoods still continues to provide first-rate service to a number of blue-chip clients today.
Future
Craig Westwood has the been the sole owner and director of Westwoods for 33 years. He has grown the company from a small family business to a large commercial scale operation servicing clients such as Qantas, ANZ, Westpac, Australia Post and many more. After operating and expanding the company over many challenging yet rewarding years, Craig is now looking towards retirement.
Passing on his unparalleled expertise, Craig has carefully selected talent from within the company as part of his succession plan. Managers Hayden Green and Luke Tucker have been employed by Westwoods for over 10 years, immersing themselves in different divisions of the company. Hayden and Luke are now in a position to purchase the business and will continue working alongside Craig learning and refining their operational management skillset before taking full ownership of the business in 2028.
Hayden and Luke will be heavily involved in overseeing the growth of newly founded divisions of the business, Westwoods Automation and Westwoods Critical Power.
Like Craig, Hayden and Luke are fully committed to the complete integrity of the business and its people.
